Below is the motion profile for No Limits 2. This profile utilized telemetry from Crystal Beach Cyclone, Colossus, Rock-It Man, Valhall, Wilderness, 4D Roller Coaster, Kumba, Venom, Double Loop Double Corkscrew, and many others. It has been balanced to ensure a smooth experience on loop, corkscrew, and standard tracks.
WARNING - Buggy Telemetry: There are occasional spikes in telemetry for unknown reasons in random axes. Certain tracks encounter this issue more often than others. The tuning below has been adjusted to compensate when possible. For example: Venom track will roll to the right extremely fast while ascending the first hill; Tilt Coaster will roll to the left before the first drop. Platform Tuning This motion profile was created on a PT Actuator 6DOF Simracing Platform (150mm: 7 Actuators (2 Front + 2 Rear + 2 TL + Surge). 4 Vertical Actuator Tuning Sway, Surge, and Traction Loss is converted into pitch or roll for platforms that do not have horizontal actuators. Since these motion profiles were created on a platform with horizontal actuators, the tuning(s) could result in excessive pitch or roll on platforms without horizontal actuators. Note: A 4 Vertical Actuator Tuning has been made available below and should be utilized for platforms without horizontal actuators.
IMPORTANT: For an axis that does not have a dedicated horizontal actuator, the Effect Slider should be reduced for Lat G Sway, Long G Surge Accel, Long G Surge Decel, and/or Traction Loss by 60% to mitigate excessive movement. Actuator Mounting Location These motion profiles were created on a platform with the Front to Rear Vertical Actuator spacing at 1290mm and the Left to Right Vertical Actuator spacing at 745mm. Actuators placed closer together will increase the angle of pitch and roll. To mitigate the increase of motion, reduce the Effect Slider for the impacted effects. For front to rear actuators, adjust Pitch and Surge. For left and right actuators, adjust Roll, Sway, and Traction Loss.
Spike Filter Adjustment When Lowering Max Angle If the Max Angle is reduced from 100, the Spike Filter should be reduced proportionately to ensure a smooth transition during loops and corkscrew (due to the flip from 180 to -180 in Roll telemetry) tracks: if the Max Angle is 60, set the Spike Filter to 1200; if the Max Angle is 70, set the Spike Filter to 1400; if the Max Angle is 80, set the Spike Filter to 1600; if the Max Angle is 90, set the Spike Filter to 1800. Reverse Surge These motion profiles were created with the surge actuator reversed. This will cause the platform to move forward when accelerating and backwards when decelerating. No Limits 2 General Tuning Notes: Effect Sliders reduced to prevent over extension of the actuators during telemetry spikes. Spike Filter is set specifically to 2100 for a Max Angle of 100 so corkscrew and loop tracks feel smooth (due to the telemetry change from 180 to -180 on the Roll axis). No Vertical Actuator Effects utilized due dedicated surge actuator and lack of body/suspension roll.
