Below is the tuning Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This tuning utilized telemetry data across various planes and then tested on every single plane provided in the Basic edition with special focus on the Cessna 152 utilized for training flights. Improvements have been made over the default SRS tuning I created at the initial launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This includes more braking g-forces on the ground, surge/accel feelings when taking off, and improved heave and sway, and a fundamental re-balancing of telemetry across all effects.
WARNING: Aerobatic or high-performance planes like the Aviat Pitts Special S2S, Robin CAP 10, Extra 330LT, and the JMB VL-3 should use the Aerobatic/High Performance Airplane tuning below. Otherwise, the movement of the platform will be EXTREME.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR H6/P6 USERS: It is recommended to disable Enhanced G-Forces at the bottom of the Motion Tuning page. This will ensure you feel Sway and Surge effects. This option is normally utilized for racing titles to add additional Pitch to Surge effects and Roll to Sway effects to enhance the g-force feelings; however, for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 this setting will completely negate any Surge or Sway you feel in your H6/P6. This option only appears for these 6-axis platforms. If you prefer the feeling of Pitch during takeoff acceleration or braking, leave this setting ON, but you will not feel surge and sway in the air.
IMPORTANT SHAKER TUNING: It is highly recommended to use the shaker tuning below for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The only effect that should be utilized is Engine with a setting at 5. This can be adjusted up or down to personal preference. However, if the setting is too high, clipping will occur and the engine vibration will feel more like a strong pulse. Tune it down until there is a smooth shaking cadence which will increase or decrease based on throttle inputs. Though shaking is available for other effects like Vert G, it doesn't add to the immersion when utilizing a motion platform. Those effects are intended for stationary platforms. (Your default volume setting for the sound card (USB/Internal) handling shaking telemetry will impact the intensity of the effects. Tune this volume up or down if you are unable to achieve the desired shaker feeling.)
PROFILE IN USE ISSUES: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has a bug that will retain the last plane selected in flight or in the Hanger in the Profile In Use even when in the menu system. This is not an SRS issue. To edit the default tuning for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 you must exit the game and edit the profile in SRS. FEELING PITCH AND ROLL: If you would like to feel more elevation changes when making minor adjustments during flight. Its recommended to lower the Max Telemetry for Pitch and Roll down to 10 or below. However, this will make the platform move quickly to the maximum amount of movement when performing any larger pitches up or down as well and when banking the aircraft.

Note: To set a general tuning for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 do NOT launch the game (due to the Profile In Use issue stated above). Instead launch SRS, select TUNING, and click on the magnifying glass icon in the Profile In Use section in the upper right. Select the game to tune, and adjust the sliders and max telemetry as needed. Click SAVE when finished. To set a plane specific tuning for the aerobatic or other planes, when a aircraft is selected in game, you can further tune the specific vehicle as it will be listed underneath the game title. Be sure to click SAVE once editing.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 General Tuning
Notes: Every Effect Slider and Max Telemetry has been tuned to ensure Pitch is felt when taking off. Roll increased over Yaw when turning (Yaw telemetry is prioritized by fs2020 during turns), Heave has been significantly increased, but not prioritized over Pitch and Roll. Long G Surge Accel/Decel tuned to have feeling on the runway but not to overtake Pitch during initial takeoff. Recommended to disable Enhanced G-Forces for DOF Reality H6/P6 platforms.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Aerobatic/High Performance Airplane Tuning
Notes: Utilize this tuning for the Aviat Pitts Special S2S, Robin CAP 10, Extra 330LT, and the JMB VL-3. The Max Telemetry for all these planes has been doubled to compensate for extremely high g-forces. Recommended to disable Enhanced G-Forces for DOF Reality H6/P6 platforms. Important Note: Ensure you increase platform Smoothing to 75 to reduce extreme movements.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Shaker Tuning
Notes: Set Engine to 5 to avoid clipping of engine vibrations (Additional tuning can be done through sound card volume in Windows utilized for transducers/shakers). All other effects off.
