IMPORTANT NOTE: This tuning is currently being revised with new data to improve the overall performance. ETA for new version is targeting end of October 2020. Below are the tunings for Project Cars 2. Project Cars 2 has some of the best telemetry data available which provides a large numerical range to assist in emulating realistic movement in each vehicle. This also makes it complex to create a general tuning that would universally apply to each vehicle. However, a balanced general tuning was developed that will work for most vehicles. The following vehicles were utilized: McLaren 570S, Dallara IR-12 Chevrolet (Speedway), Kart, Porsche 911 GT3 R, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 '69 TransAm, and Formula A.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR H6/P6 USERS: It is recommended to enable Enhanced G-Forces at the bottom of the Motion Tuning page for Project Cars 2since it has long periods of Sway and Surge. It will provide a sustained feeling for Surge or Sway by converting the Surge effect into Pitch and the Sway effect into Roll. If you turn Enhanced G-Forces OFF, you will feel the Sway and Surge effects available for those platforms; however, the effect only lasts during the range of motion since it's parallel to the ground. This option only appears for these 6-axis platforms.
Note: For high horsepower (700+) extreme racing, its recommended to tune for those vehicles by potentially increasing the Max Telemetry in Lat G Sway to reduce harsh movements while in high-g corners and/or increasing Max Telemetry in Long G Surge Accel to reduce the acceleration bump when hammering the throttle. For more information on tuning details, see the SRS 2.0 Motion Tuning Guide here: https://www.simracingstudio.com/forum/motion-profiles/srs-2-0-motion-tuning-guide
Note: To set a general tuning for a game, launch SRS, select TUNING, and click on the magnifying glass icon in the Profile In Use section in the upper right. Select the game to tune, and adjust the sliders and max telemetry as needed. Click SAVE when finished. The tuning will now be the default for the game. When a vehicle is selected in game, you can further tune the specific vehicle as it will be listed underneath the game title.
Project Cars 2 General Tuning
Notes: Long G Surge Accel/Decel normalized with higher Max Tel to smooth acceleration and deceleration g-forces. Reduced Min Traction Loss Activation to reduce snap of traction loss. Increased Traction Loss Max Tel to smooth traction loss. Greatly increased Lat G Sway Max Tel to normalize the large amount of telemetry data available for Sway which smooths platform movement in corners.
Dallara IR-12 Chevrolet (Speedyway)
Notes: Recommended tuning for Indy or high HP vehicles. Increased Max Telemetry for Lat G Sway due to excessive swinging during cornering in Indy racing. Increased Max Tel slightly for Vert G Road Heave to reduce bumps during cornering/banking.
