Game Setup Instructions - Manual Steps (PC)

Note: SRS has fully automated game configuration in the SRS app - Games page.

Use instructions below only if you get an error

when using SRS Games page CONFIG button or instructions

iRacing™â€‹

Usually, nothing to do. In case of issue, please set the following on iRacing app.ini file:
 

irsdkEnableDisk=1       ; enable disk-based telemetry

irsdkEnableMem=1     ; enable memory-based telemetry

irsdkLog360Hz=0         ; Log some telemetry at 360 Hz rather than at 60 Hz

Project Cars 2™â€‹

  1. Main Menu options screen, under 'Options'

  2. -> 'System'

  3. -> Shared Memory = 'Project Cars 2'.

  4. Set UDP to OFF

Project Cars 3™â€‹

  1. Main Menu options screen,

  2. under 'Settings'

  3. -> 'System'

  4. -> Shared Memory = 'Project Cars 2'.

  5. Set UDP to OFF

Automobilista 2™â€‹

  1. Main Menu options screen, under 'Options'

  2. -> 'System'

  3. -> Shared Memory = 'Project Cars 2'.

  4. Set UDP FREQUENCY to OFF. (Very important)

Project Cars™â€‹

  1. Main Menu options screen, under 'Help & Options'

  2. -> 'Visuals'

  3. -> 'Hardware'

  4. -> 'Use Shared Memory'

  5. -> 'Yes'.

  6. Set UDP to OFF

RFactor 2™â€‹

Skip steps below if you have simhub or simtools
 

a) Delete old DLL Plugin called "DataPlugin_v2.dll" or "SRS_Rfactor2.dll" or "SRS_Rfactor2_V22.dll" (if installed)

b) Download  the 'rFactor2SharedMemoryMapPlugin64.dll' file into '...\
rFactor2\Bin64\Plugins folder' (RF2 Plugin courtesy of TheIronWolfModding. Click here for readme file.)

 

Then:
Check if PLUGIN is ON on Options->PlugIns Tab

Allow PRIVATE (or PUBLIC) access to the firewall when asked by Windows

 Download  the 'SRS_Rfactor1.dll' file into the game folder / Pugins subfolder.

If you installed via Steam, the folder location is:
\your_SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\game_name\Plugins

Dirt Rally 2™

Dirt 4™â€‹

Find hardware_settings_config.xml and also hardware_settings_config_vr.xml

which is located in C:\Users\{User Name}\Documents\My Games\{Game Name}\hardwaresettings.

 

Open it and find this line

<motion_platform> ... <udp enabled="false" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" /> ... </motion_platform>

 

Replace this line with

<motion_platform> ... <udp enabled="true" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" delay="10" extradata="3" /> ... </motion_platform>

 

PS. UDP Port (default = 20777) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

PS. If you already have another app using another port, just add a second line with our port below the other (Dirt Rally)

Grid (2019)

Find hardware_settings_config.xml and also hardware_settings_config_vr.xml

which is located in C:\Users\{User Name}\Documents\My Games\{Game Name}\hardwaresettings.

 

Open it and find this line

<motion_platform> ... <udp enabled="false" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20781" /> ... </motion_platform>

​

Replace this line with

<motion_platform> ... <udp enabled="true" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20781" delay="10" extradata="3" /> ... </motion_platform>

​

PS. UDP Port (default = 20781) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

PS. If you already have another app using another port, just add a second line with our port below the other

F1 2015â„¢

F1 2016â„¢

Find hardware_settings_config.xml which is located in C:\Users\{User Name}\Documents\My Games\{Game Name}\hardwaresettings.

Open it and find this line

... <udp0 enabled... ...

Replace this line with

<motion> ... <udp0 enabled="true" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20778" /> ... </motion>
 

PS. UDP Port (default = 20778) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

F1 2017™â€‹

Go to Game Options ->Settings

UDP Telemetry Settings

UDP Telemetry On​

Broadcast Mode Off

IP 127.0.0.1

Port 20778

Send Rate -> 60 Hz

F1 2018™â€‹

Go to Game Options ->Settings

Send Rate -> 60 Hz

UDP Format <> 2018 (as of SRS Release V30)

Go to Game Options ->Settings

NoLimits2 Roller Coaster™â€‹

Non-Steam version:

Create a shortcut to the nolimits2app.exe file

Right-click ->Properties.

In the Target field, add the following text at the end:   --telemetry  --telemetryport=15151
 

Steam version:

Go to your Steam library, right-click NoLimits 2 Roller Coaster Simulation

Select Properties. -> Set Launch Options

Type:    --telemetry --telemetryport=15151
 

PS. UDP Port (default = 15151) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

Epic Roller Coaster™â€‹

  1. Open Epic Roller Coasters

  2. Select the gear button

  3. Select the TELEMETRY TAB, not SRS tab

  4. CHeck if port is 7701

  5. Click on start

Oculus Quest (without PC) Version

  1. Open Epic Roller Coasters

  2. Select the gear button

  3. Select the Telemetry TAB

  4. Check if port is 7701 and the IP is your PC IP (you can find that on SRS Setup-> Apps page

  5. Click on start

  6. Go to SRS games page

  7. Set SRS to Manual Game Detection mode

  8. Select Epic Roller Coaster Quest line

KartKraft™â€‹

-> Preferences

-> Game

-> Telemetry 

   UDP Output: ON

   IP Address: 127.0.0.1

   Port: 5000

XPlane 11™â€‹

Settings

-> 'Data Output' -> 'General Data Output'

In the Network Configuration session (bottom right),

Check "Send network data output​

IP Address: 127.0.0.1

Port 49000

PS. UDP Port (default = 49000) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

IL-2 Sturmovik™â€‹

go to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data

open startup.cfg

add the following:
 

[KEY = motiondevice]
    addr = "127.0.0.1"
    decimation = 2
    enable = true
    port = 4321
[END]

Euro Truck Simulator 2™  
American Truck Simulatorâ„¢

  1. Download the Euro / American Truck 64 bit DLL into bin/win_x64/plugins/ of your ETS2 or ATS installation folder.
     

  2. When games starts, press OK to accept SDK connection.

Forza Horizon 4

Go to Game Settings -> HUD and GAMEPLAY

UDP Telemetry Settings (bottom of the screen)

UDP Telemetry (DATA OUT) = On​

IP 127.0.0.1

Port 10001 or 20781

Install the  Loop_back _utility​

Select Forza Horizon 4 -> Save -> Quit utility​

PS. UDP Port (default = 10001 or 20781) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

PS2. If you have another app using Forza UDP, it won't work since the other App is â€‹"blocking" the UDP for other apps

Forza Horizon 5
(non steam version only. Steam version does not show up on loop_back_utility)

Go to Game Settings -> HUD and GAMEPLAY

UDP Telemetry Settings (bottom of the screen)

UDP Telemetry (DATA OUT) = On​

IP 127.0.0.1

Port 10001 or 20781

Install the  Loop_back _utility​

Select Forza Horizon 5 -> Save -> Quit utility​

PS2. If you have another app using Forza UDP, it won't work since the other App is â€‹"blocking" the UDP for other apps

Forza Motorsports 7™â€‹

Go to Game Options -> HUD

UDP Telemetry Settings (bottom of the screen)

UDP Telemetry On​

IP 127.0.0.1

Port 10001 or 20781

Data out packet format -> CAR DASH

Install the  Loop_back _utility​

Select Forza 7 and Save then Quit utility​

PS. UDP Port (default = 10001 or 20781) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

PS2. If you have another app using Forza UDP, it won't work since the other App is â€‹"blocking" the UDP for other apps

BeamNG

In the Game Menu
-> Options
 -> Other
  -> Outgage Support = ON
  -> MotionSim enabled = ON

War Thunder

  1. Just open the game and run it.
     

  2. Note: Fan and Motion for planes only

DCS World

1. Go to your C:\Program Files\SimRacingStudio 2.0\libraries folder and copy the SRSExport.lua file
2. Go C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Hooks and paste the SRSExport.lua file in the Hooks folder. If the folder does not exist, create the Hooks folder in the \Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\ folder and paste the SRSExpport.lua file in the Hooks folder.
3. Restart Sim Racing Studio and verify that DCS now shows as Ready to play in the Games > PC page.

MotoGP 2018™â€‹
(No MOTION yet)

  1. There is nothing to do. Just open the game and run it.

    PS. Only works Offline

Richard Burns Rally™â€‹
(Wind and Engine Shake)

  1. Ensure you have Patch 102 is installed (You can get it from here)

  2. When running the game, use RichardBurnsRally_SSE.exe instead of the RichardBurnsRally_exe

  3. Support Wind only at this moment

Richard Burns Rally™â€‹
Next Gen Physics

  1. Ensure you have Patch 102 is installed (You can get it from here)

  2. Install Next Generation Physics. Instructions here

  3. Install FixUp plugin (Just copy the files in the RBR install folder)

  4. Run RBR Car Installation Tool (after unzipping files in RBR install folder)

  5. When running the game, use RichardBurnsRally_SSE.exe instead of the RichardBurnsRally_exe

  6. Check if UDP telemetry is ON in RBR plugins menu -> NGP submenu

Live for Speed (LFS)

  1. In the LFS game folder, open cfg.txt and change the following variables to match the settings below:

    OutSim Mode 2
    OutSim Delay 1
    OutSim IP 127.0.0.1
    OutSim Port 30000
    OutSim ID 0
    OutGauge Mode 2
    OutGauge Delay 1
    OutGauge IP 127.0.0.1
    OutGauge Port 30000
    OutGauge ID 0

    PS. UDP Port (default = 30000) can be configured in documents/simracingstudio/config.ini file

 

Elite Dangerous
(Experimental)

  1. Nothing to do just start the game (SRS App v40 and above required)

  2. Might not work all the time (see notes below)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

​​

  1. ED does not officially support telemetry, that said, every time the developer update the game, it might break and take from 1 - 7 days to get back to work.

  2. If we are able to fix it, it will automatically download next time you open the app

  3. But It might stop working forever. We can't guarantee 

  4. We strongly encourage you to ask for API telemetry support in this forum: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/need-stable-aip-for-telemetry-data-used-for-2-6-dof-motion-platforms.400404/

 

Silent Wings

  1. Start Silent Wings and quit in order to create game folder and files
     

  2. Open file below with notepad (Make sure you can see hidden files in win explorer options)
     

  3. C:\Users\{your_name}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Silent Wings\Silent Wings\data\options.dat
     

  4. Find the UDP Protocol session and replace by the text below. Add at the end if you can't find it...then save file and exit

Fly Inside

  1. Download (Right-Click -> SAVE AS) Plugin http://bit.ly/2Phva7o into game folder \FlyInside Flight Simulator\Data\Scripts folder

Other Games

  1. SRS constantly add new telemetry games support for Power Wind and Shaking. Check our Blog to see which games are coming soon or just added.
     

  2. If you own a ShakeKit, you can also get vibration from game sound instead of telemetry. Click here for instructions.

Your Own game

  1. Use our API to send telemetry to SRS

  2. Supports Wind, Tach, Shake and Motion effects.
